Franceschi Chocolate Guest of Honor in Paris

Venezuela will be the guest of honor at the fourth edition of the Sens&Chocolat Festival that will be held from February 5 to 9, 2016, within the frame of the Europain – Intersuc International Fair, at the Exposition Park North of Paris, Villepinte, the largest international fair which gathers bakery, pastry, chocolate, candy, and ice cream professionals from around the world, with over 77,000 visitors from 138 countries.

Venezuela will say “present” to show the quality and diversity of its fine cacao and chocolate and therefore present itself to the world as the country that has the highest diversity of fine cacao in the world.

This initiative  follows the postulation action before the organizers in France carried out by the Venezuelan-French Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (CCIAVF, for its initials in Spanish) to receive Venezuela as a guest of honor country.

In the frame of this Sens&Chocolat Festival, the International Contest of the “Grand Cru” chocolate tablet has been organized; in which chocolatiers from different nationalities who privilege “Bean to Bar” compete with their bars elaborated solely from Venezuelan fine or Trinitarian cacaos and sugar.

The jury for the contest, consisting of members of the Taste Institute of France, selected ten finalists for the 2016 edition, among which Franceschi Chocolate takes part (Tree to Bar & Bean to Bar).

Through this initiative, the Venezuelan-French Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture seeks to place the image of Venezuela as the country with the most biodiversity in cacao in the world, support the producers of fine cacao and Venezuelan chocolatiers, as well as highlight the potential of Venezuela as a country producer of the finest cacaos in the world.
